Providing Storage, Shipping, and Third Party Logistics for Western South Dakota
(Rapid City, SD) – A building with a long history of local employment and national distribution will once again be open. Dakota Warehouse, a third party logistics company in Rapid City will be reopening the Spartan Nash Finch distribution building on E St Patrick Street. The building is nearly two hundred thousand square feet of storage, office space, and cold storage. Dakota Warehouse, after completing due diligence, has their eyes set on filling up the building quickly.
“We have been in our planning stages for over a year in Western South Dakota.” Claimed Roy Drake, Co-Owner. “We looked at a lot of different locations and scenarios and the Nash Finch building gives us the ability to come out of the gate as an immediate 3pl solution for manufacturers both local and national.” Jamie Jurgensen, his partner, echoed Drake’s claim. “This building fits all of our needs. We can offer food grade storage, freezer space, cooler space – even office space. We can be a one stop shop for drop shippers and light manufacturing needs. Our research saw a big need in the market and we’re excited to get started.”
SpartanNash, which headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan, closed their distribution center in April. Dakota Warehouse will be reopening the building after completing some renovations and will be looking for local employees as they grow. Added Drake, “While we are excited for the building being in Western South Dakota; we are also big on the town of Rapid City because of the work ethic of the area. We know we’ll have good hard working people to hire as we expand our business.”
